A Farmhouse Retreat in Historic New Bern

The one-story house was completely restored in the 2000s with two wings on either side of the house, each with a huge bedroom, closets and en-suite bathrooms. One bathroom has a bath tub and the other a shower. There is a full galley kitchen, antique dining table and the kitchen is fully stocked. We can accommodate dining for 10 people on our screened-in porch with a 16-foot table and 10 chairs. We have a king bed in the primary bedroom and another king bed in the secondary ensuite bedroom, both with brand-new Tuft & Needle mattresses. There is also a bonus room with a queen bed and a sofa above the garage for added sleeping space. The best thing about our farmhouse is that it is only 5 miles from Tryon Palace and downtown New Bern! We are 13 minutes from the New Bern airport. We are within 5-7 minutes from both a Wal-Mart and a Target. We are also only 5 minutes from Highway 70 (the new Highway 42), which is very convenient when traveling. We are about a 45-minute drive from multiple beaches on the Outer Banks. Enjoy the privacy of life in the country, with all the convenience and fun of life in the city! Our farmhouse was built by the Lane family, one of New Bern's premiere builders, after the Civil War. We have gorgeous old Cypress, Oak trees and pecan trees on our property that are hundreds of years old. We also have a private pond in the front of the house.
